The Municipality of Burgos, La Union proudly marked its participation in the successful staging of the 1st La Union Provincial Rescuelympics, where the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) team demonstrated skill, resilience and teamwork in a series of challenging rescue scenarios.
Representing Burgos, La Union with pride, the team faced multiple stations designed to test their technical abilities, endurance and composure under pressure. Each challenge highlighted not only individual competence but also the importance of coordination and trust among team members. Through unity and determination, the team successfully completed all stations—proving that cooperation is key in high-stakes emergency situations.
The LGU extended its heartfelt gratitude to Municipal Mayor Honorable Delfin C. Comedis Jr. for his unwavering support to the MDRRMO’s programs, activities and initiatives. His leadership and continued trust have been instrumental in motivating and empowering the team to perform at their best, both in real-life operations and competitive platforms.
